Cleanliness & Sanitation

Service to our customers is very important, however, so is safety. Our technicians will always call first before visiting your office. At that time please let them know if there are any specific instructions or restrictions before entering your company. They will be wearing disposable gloves while working on your equipment. They will also wipe down all touch points with the recommended cleaning solution provided by the equipment manufacturer.

To keep your equipment clean from daily office use, we've provided some resources for effectively cleaning office equipment yourself:

Clearing Paper Jams

Some issues are easy to solve. Paper jams, though frustrating, are usually a quick fix. Below is a video showing how to clear a paper jam demonstrated on a Xerox® AltaLink® C8070. Although this technique may apply to a variety of different office equipment, be sure to always follow the instructions prompted by your device.

Cleaning the Automatic Document Feeder Rolls

To prevent jamming, you may need to clean the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) rolls on your device. Some older machines may collect debris over time. It's a good idea to clean the feeder rolls on your device every few months, depending on your output volume.

This video shows you how to clean the DADF feed separation and take away rolls on a Xerox® AltaLink® C8070 and similar devices.

Lightening Your Workload

With more businesses spreading their efforts thin, it may be a good idea to train more people to use the equipment to help boost productivity. Make sure, however, new trainees know to clean the device after each use to prevent the spread of germs.

Watch the video below for a detailed overview of how to use any Xerox device. Share with your company for a virtual training demonstration.

Another way to practice social distancing is to install more multi-function printers around the office. Most Xerox® VersaLink® devices are designed for small work groups and are easy to install. VersaLink devices come with "plug-and-play" technology and set-up wizards available, meaning they're usually ready to use right out of the box with no IT required.

Although they're a bit smaller than the AltaLink devices, they still have Wi-Fi, mobile connectivity, and apps that link you to the cloud.

Xerox® VersaLink® Technology—Better for Your Small Business

Benchmark is doing everything possible to keep your business prospering while keeping your employees safe. If you have any questions about remote service or would like to inquire about installing a new machine, we're here to help. We're in this together.
