Historically, translation services have been a manual, time-consuming process. Small businesses today are looking for faster alternatives that won’t slow down communications. With Easy Translator Services from Xerox, companies can compete in a global economy with multilingual documents.
Machine translation utilizes optical character recognition (OCR) technology and requires a subscription through Xerox’s Web portal. Cost is calculated by the number of pages you submit for translation.
Upon walkup to your ConnectKey enabled device, users load their documents just like they would to make a copy or scan, and follow a few simple steps:
- Select the Easy Translator app on the touchscreen.
- Choose desired language for translation.
- Choose one of the 20 available output methods, such as an instant print, working file, or image file.
- Press Start
The system quickly scanned originals, and using OCR technology, translates the text. Translations can be either printed or received as an editable draft via email. A mobile app is also available utilizing the same process where using can upload photos on their device for instant translation.
